These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the relationship between Boayen Travel Bureau ("Boayen", "we", "us", "our") and clients ("you") who engage our travel advisory and booking services. By engaging Boayen Travel Bureau and confirming any travel arrangement through us, you agree to these Terms in full.
Boayen Travel Bureau is a brand of Boayen Advisory & Creative Ltd. We operate from Washington DC and Accra, Ghana.
Boayen Travel Bureau provides bespoke travel advisory, itinerary design, booking facilitation, and concierge services for individuals, families, corporate clients, and institutional delegations. We act as a travel agent and advisor, arranging travel products and services on your behalf with third-party suppliers.
We are not a tour operator and do not directly provide flights, accommodation, ground transport, or other travel services. The terms and conditions of individual suppliers will also apply to your booking.
Submitting an enquiry does not constitute a booking and does not bind either party. Quotations provided are indicative and subject to availability, currency fluctuations, and supplier pricing at the time of confirmation. We reserve the right to revise a quotation prior to confirmation if prices change materially.
Boayen reserves the right to decline an enquiry or cease engagement with any prospective or existing client at its discretion.
A booking is confirmed once you have: (i) received a written booking confirmation from Boayen; and (ii) paid the required deposit or full payment as specified. Confirmation of your booking constitutes acceptance of these Terms.
We strongly recommend that all clients read supplier terms and conditions prior to confirming a booking. Specific conditions — including cancellation, amendment, and refund policies — vary by supplier and travel product.
Boayen charges a service or consultancy fee for advisory, planning, and booking services. This fee covers the time, expertise, and curation involved in building your travel experience and is separate from the cost of travel products. Fees are disclosed in writing prior to engagement.
A deposit is typically required at the time of booking confirmation, with the balance due on the date specified in your booking documentation. Failure to pay by the due date may result in cancellation and forfeiture of the deposit, subject to supplier terms.
All prices are quoted in the currency specified in your booking documentation and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change until full payment has been received and confirmed by relevant suppliers.
Requests to amend a confirmed booking must be made in writing to your Boayen travel adviser. Amendments are subject to supplier availability and their amendment policies. Additional costs may apply, and Boayen may charge an amendment fee where applicable. We will advise you of any costs before proceeding.
Cancellations must be notified to us in writing. Cancellation charges will apply in accordance with the terms of the individual suppliers and Boayen's own service fee policy. Service fees paid to Boayen are generally non-refundable once planning has commenced. We will provide you with a breakdown of any charges at the time of cancellation.
We strongly recommend that all clients obtain comprehensive travel insurance that includes cancellation cover prior to confirming any booking.
In the event that a supplier cancels a travel product (including due to force majeure, operational decisions, or circumstances beyond their control), Boayen will endeavour to source an appropriate alternative or facilitate a refund in accordance with the supplier's policy. Boayen is not liable for losses arising from supplier cancellations beyond amounts recoverable from the supplier.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended and, for some arrangements, required. Boayen does not provide travel insurance. You are responsible for ensuring you hold appropriate cover for all elements of your travel, including cancellation, medical, evacuation, and baggage. We are happy to recommend specialist travel insurance brokers upon request.
You are responsible for ensuring you hold all necessary travel documentation, including valid passports, visas, and health certificates, for all destinations in your itinerary. Boayen may provide guidance as a courtesy, but this does not constitute legal or immigration advice. We accept no liability for clients refused entry to any country due to failure to comply with entry requirements.
Boayen's liability to you is limited to losses directly caused by our negligence in the provision of our advisory and booking services. We do not accept liability for losses arising from the acts or omissions of third-party suppliers, force majeure events, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Services provided by airlines, hotels, car hire operators, and other third-party suppliers are governed by those suppliers' own terms and conditions. Boayen acts as an intermediary and does not accept liability for the performance, quality, or safety of third-party products or services.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Boayen's aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the total fees paid to Boayen in connection with the booking in dispute.
Boayen shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations where such failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disaster, epidemic or pandemic, war, political instability, government action, or industrial action.
We take client satisfaction seriously. If you have a complaint regarding Boayen's services, please contact your travel adviser in the first instance. Formal complaints should be submitted in writing to hello@boayen.com. We will acknowledge all complaints within five business days and endeavour to resolve them within 28 days.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to Boayen's right to pursue remedies in other jurisdictions where appropriate.
Boayen reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. The current version will be published at travel.boayen.com/terms. Bookings confirmed prior to any variation will be governed by the Terms in force at the time of confirmation.
